Hi there everybody! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I know that I did! It was so great that I am just now about to take my Christmas decor down, and I’m starting to get ready for the new year. This involves getting my house clean and organized, as well as organizing the blog and getting us ready for our best year so far.
So, I hope you all will comment and tell me what your favorite (and your kids’ favorite) Christmas present was. Right now, I’m going to tell you about mine.
You may recall that one of the worst things that can happen to a family happened on my birthday this year when we lost our beloved Diamond. I have been wanting to get another dog for a while now, but the hubs and I decided to wait until we bought a house. My family, however, had something else in mind and I was given the sweetest and cutest German Shepherd puppy for Christmas this year! His name is Trigger, and you will be hearing all about him in future posts I’m sure.
My favorite gift for my kids is hands down their new Kindles! Not only does it have awesome parental controls and monitoring features, so I know what my kids are doing when they’re playing on it, and don’t have to worry about them getting into something that they have no business getting into, there’s also a great app called FreeTime that I am absolutely in love with! FreeTime gives my kids unlimited access to kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games. Since I have a Prime membership, it cost me $2.99 per month, per child, but it’s the best six bucks a month I can spend on my kids. Currently my youngest is reading books that he needed to read in school so that he can take AR tests.
Getting Ready For The New Year
So, I hinted that I was getting ready for the new year and getting the blog a bit more organized… I wanted to let you know just some of what you can expect in the future! We will of course have our Home Organization challenge on each Monday. That won’t change. 🙂 Now though, we are going to have tips to live green and save on Tuesdays, Crockpot recipes on Wednesdays, Dog Day posts on Thursdays (where you’ll find helpful training info, some treat recipes, and more), Dessert Recipes on Fridays, and DIY Saturdays.
I really hope that you like what I have in store for you in the coming year. It sure is exciting for me!
